There’s No Reason to Live with Non-Healing Sores

At DCH Health System, we’re here to help you heal. Our Tuscaloosa Wound Healing Center is an outpatient clinic focused on modern treatments for chronic wounds while finding the cause of your non-healing sores.

Your customized treatment plan may include compression therapy, pressure relief, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, wound debridement, infection control and surgical consults.

Our team is staffed with dedicated physicians, nurses and therapists who specialize in treating chronic wounds and identifying their complex causes, circumstances and challenges.

Wounds We Treat

We provide treatment for the following wound types:

  • Pressure ulcers (“bedsores”)
  • Osteoradionecrosis
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Bone infections
  • Non-healing surgical wounds

At the DCH Wound Healing Center, our goals are to

  • decrease our patients' wound healing time.
  • prevent future and/or recurrent wounds.
  • improve our patients' quality of life.

The Wound Healing Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. We are located at 701 University Blvd. East in the Phelps Outpatient Center. Take the elevators to the second floor and take a left. We are located behind the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department.
