We're excited announce our latest BEE Award winner, Katrina Bishop (Administration). Here is her nomination:
I would like to nominate, Katrina Bishop for the Bee Award. She is a fabulous employee, a huge asset to this hospital, and is so deserving of this award and recognition.
Katrina’s customer service skills are exemplary. She is always patient & calm no matter the situation. Katrina is very friendly and willing to help anyone. If you come to the Admin office, she is the first one to greet you with a smile. She will immediately ask how she can assist you. She never acts too busy to stop what she is doing to accommodate your needs. Even though she has a busy schedule, she is always willing to help her co-workers.
When patients or family members come to the Admin office, she intently listens, and shows empathy and compassion. She displays professionalism in contacting the appropriate staff to help with any concerns presented, or brings them to the Patient Relations Department for further assistance.

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.
BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
