Daisy Award Goes to April McDonald

Congratulations to April McDonald, RN, our latest DAISY winner!

April was nominated by the family member of a patient who described her as compassionate.

April is a team leader on the med-surg unit at Northport Medical Center. She was recognized for her “outstanding display of compassion, professionalism and unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care.” April’s assistance with an issue and follow up on progress exemplifies her characteristics of a good team leader.

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is an international program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence nurses bring to their patients every day. The program is now in 4,300 health care facilities across 26 countries.
