BEE Award Goes to Rosa Barron

BEE Award Goes to Rosa Barron

Congratulations to BEE winner Rosa Barron who works in Environmental Services at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Rosa was nominated by a patient.

“Miss Rosa came in every day with a smile on her face and would light up the room with her genuine concern and care for me. Her efficiency moving around the room cleaning as she talked and gave me words of encouragement is more than commendable. Miss Rose came through my room cleaning several times a day I know more times than the average cleaner. She kept things smelling very nice. And I know that she was just efficient and all the other rooms that she was in charge of for that day as well. Miss Rose made my stay easier and all around better because of how well she kept my room clean and her lovely attitude. I'm not going to lie getting this diagnosis was a shock to me... but Miss Rose was there to hold my hand and tell me it was going to be okay. No, that's not in her job description … she is a good person and she's a great housekeeper. I hope that y'all give her a special thank you for me and let her know that she is very much appreciated.”

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
