DCH Welcomes New Staff Attorney

Maegan Smalley joins DCH Health System as a staff attorney.

Smalley will assist with legal matters in a number of areas including general business, employment and legal issues impacting health care providers, such as ethics, consent, policy making, privacy, billing and medical practice.

“We are excited to welcome Maegan to our General Counsel team,” said Scott Donaldson, general counsel for DCH. “She has a wealth of experience in legal research and trial preparation in both civil and criminal trials.”

Smalley comes to DCH from the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s office. She has also served as a staff attorney for the Circuit Court Judge James H. Roberts Jr. and worked as a law clerk with the Turner Law Group.

Smalley is a graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Alabama.
