Chasity Hood Honored with BEE Award

Chasity Hood Honored with BEE Award

Congratulations to Chasity Hood, PCA/Unit Secretary, 7 North Regional Medical Center. She is the most recent recipient of the BEE Award.

Hood was nominated by co-worker, Anna Morgan Reynolds, who wrote:

When Chasity was approached by a co-worker to help a patient whose hair had become matted, she went above and beyond to help a patient that wasn’t assigned to her. “Chasity is always willing to help with, even the littlest things that aren’t her responsibility. I am nominating her because I have seen her give this care and compassion to so many of my patients, and it makes a huge difference for them knowing someone cares.”

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout DCH hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic forms.
