Brenda Walker Honored with BEE Award

Congratulations to Brenda Walker, PCA/Unit Secretary, 6 South, DCH Regional Medical Center, for being named the most recent recipient of The BEE Award.

Walker was nominated by a patient touched by her compassion, who wrote:

“I had nothing but the strings on my shoes. I had already walked the soles off. Ms. Brenda went out of her way to get me a pair of shoes. I want to thank Brenda, and all of the staff at DCH, for making it possible not to leave barefooted. God bless you all.”

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, DCH employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a DCH team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.
