DCH and PARA to Host Health Fair on Saturday

(April 13, 2023, Tuscaloosa, Ala.) DCH and the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) are hosting a community health fair this Saturday, April 15, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Snow Hinton Park.

“DCH’s mission is to serve to improve the health of our patients and community,” said Katrina Keefer, DCH Health System president and CEO. “We are excited to partner with PARA to host a family-friendly event that is consistent with our mission and promises to be both fun and educational. We hope to see you there!”

DCH and community vendors will offer products and services to improve health and wellness including education and screenings.

“DCH and PARA share a common goal of improving health and well-being in our community,” said Mike Crady, PARA interim executive director. “With 33 well-maintained parks, PARA has a space near you where you can get outside, walk, play, and enjoy being more physically fit and active.”

The agenda for the health fair includes:

• 10 a.m. – DCH Community Health Fair Begins
• 10:30 a.m. – CEO Welcome (Main Tent Stage)
• 11 a.m. – Physician Panel (Main Tent Stage)
• 12 p.m. – Healthy Cooking Demonstration (Sequoia Shelter)
• 1 p.m. – High and Low Impact Aerobics (Main Tent Stage, sponsored by PARA)

In addition to the educational offerings, food trucks and a kid’s play area will be available.
