Update Oct. 29, 2021

Elementary Students Celebrate Heroes

Next Friday, Nov. 5, the students at Tuscaloosa Magnet School-Elementary will honor and celebrate the "Heroes In Our Lives" with a drive-by parade for veterans, firefighters, police officers, and health care workers.

Any local heroes from the mentioned groups are invited to participate if they are available to do so. Participants are encouraged to decorate their car with red, white, and blue and join the parade so the students can salute all that you have done for our country.

The parade route will begin on Juila Tutwiler Drive next to the school. Please line up behind the police SUV starting at 12:50 p.m. and the parade will begin at 1 p.m. In case of rain, the make-up day will be Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m.
