Forbes Names DCH as a Top Hospital Employer in Alabama
Forbes recently ranked 1,330 companies as the best employers in the country. Here is the full article and a link to a recent Becker’s Hospital Review article that shows just the hospitals listed for each state.
Forbes partnered with Statista for the project. In all, 80,000 Americans were surveyed to come up with the results. Respondents rated their employers on factors including compensation, opportunities for advancement, safety in the workplace and more.
COVID-19 Information
To protect patient privacy, DCH has established a minimum threshold of five for reporting numbers of inpatients with laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19.
DCH Health System internal counts as of 4:31 p.m. on 8/31/21:
- 157 inpatients within the DCH system who are positive for COVID-19.
- 38 inpatients who are positive for COVID-19 are being treated in the ICU.
- 32 inpatients who are positive for COVID-19 are on ventilators.
- 18 inpatients who are positive for COVID-19 are on BiPAP.
- 10,333 (cumulative) unique positives for COVID-19 tests including results from the ED, triage tent and inpatient. These individuals are not necessarily in the hospital.
- 48,619 cumulative) unique negatives for COVID-19 at DCH sites.
- 12,646 (cumulative) positive COVID-19 at DCH sites. These individuals are not necessarily in the hospital.
- 97,932 (cumulative) negative tests at DCH sites.
- 3,595 inpatients (cumulative) who were positive for COVID-19 have been discharged.
- 623 inpatients (cumulative) who were positive for COVID-19 have died at DCH. This is not an indication of the cause of death, only that the individuals were positive for COVID-19 at the time of death.
