DCH Clinics Offering Telehealth Services

DCH is working on solutions to make sure community members can still access health care even during the current restrictions. To that end, DCH is now offering a solution for community members to visit with a physician in certain clinics via video or phone.
Here is how it works. A patient places a call to a physician’s office and requests an appointment as usual. If the doctor agrees it is appropriate for a virtual visit then an appointment is booked. The patient will receive a text message or web link to access the appointment from their video enabled smartphone or computer. The whole interaction is conducted via Upbox, a secure, HIPAA compliant portal that doesn’t require the user to download an app or have any special equipment.
Locations that are already offering the service include:
- West Alabama Urology (205) 759-7878
- Cardiac EP of Alabama (205) 759-6921
- FMC Medical Clinic – Fayette (205) 932-1421
- FMC Medical Clinic – Millport (205) 662-3207
