Don't Wait! Register for Dirt, Sweat & Gears Trail Duathlon Today!

The DCH Health System knows the importance of sports in the life of a child. That’s why we’re pleased to sponsor the DCH Encore SportsMedicine Dirt, Sweat & Gears Trail Duathlon on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Lake Lurleen State Park. The event will feature a 10-mile trail bike ride followed by a 5K run on the trails at Lake Lurleen.

Following a mandatory pre-race meeting planned for 7:30 a.m., the bike portion will begin at 8:00 a.m.  Registration fee is $50 for individuals and $85 for a team prior to race day and $60 individual and $90 team on race day.

If you are strong on the bike but not an avid runner, or vice versa, this duathlon also allows for team competition. Awards will be given in several individual and team categories, door prizes, and participants who collect donations will be eligible to win additional prizes depending on the amount of money collected.

We've got an awesome group of community volunteers and sports enthusiasts helping with the planning of this year's event! With their help, the Dirt, Sweat & Gears Trail Duathlon will help bring healthy sports activities to young athletes through the DCH SportsMedicine Fund. The DCH SportsMedicine Fund, part of The DCH Foundation, provides service and educational opportunities to area schools, recreational sports organizations and individuals. Since 1993, the DCH SportsMedicine Fund has provided protective and preventive athletic equipment to area athletes and medical/rehabilitation equipment.
