DCH Health System Welcomes Neurosurgeon to Medical Staff
DCH Health System welcomes Dr. John Kast of Neurosurgery of West Alabama to our medical staff.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in general neurosurgery, carpal tunnel repairs, laminectomies, craniotomies, subdural burr holes, ventricular peritoneal shunts, degenerative spinal disorders, cranial tumors, stroke and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Kast received his medical degree from The Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship and residency in Washington D.C., at George Washington University Medical Center. His fellowship in general neurosurgery with focus in spinal instrumentation was completed at the Semmes Murphey Neurologic and Spine Institute in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Kast is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He and his wife are parents to five children.
