Elizabeth Francis named DCH VP of Human Resources

Elizabeth (Beth) Francis has been named vice president of human resources for the DCH Health System.

Francis came to DCH from Roanoke, Va., where she was the executive director of human resources for the Carilion Clinic, a 12,000 employee health system. She joined Carilion in 1989, and through a series of internal promotions became a member of its senior human resources leadership team in 2005.
While at Carilion, Francis lead teams that implemented technology solutions for services and functions. She helped develop best practices for compensation procedures, communication strategies and startup of new departments.
Active professionally, Francis is currently Senior Human Resources Professional certified and a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. She earned her bachelor's degree at West Virginia University and her master's degree from Virginia Tech.
She sat on the board for St. Francis Service Dogs and actively volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the local Humane Society. Her husband, Bob, will relocate to the area over the summer.
Francis replaces Kay Troxler, who retired after 36 years of service to DCH, including 17 years as vice president of human resources.
